Services Provided
Computer Repairs
Our main, but not only, service provided to clients is computer repair. We are two seasoned computer professionals, with degrees in our field, who started 'moonlighting' in home repair after-hours a few years ago. This year, we finally organized into an LLC and began marketing our skills to the general public. Both Melissa and Mike have each been working in the computer and software field for over 10 years, and do it as our 'day jobs' as well.
Small Business Consultations
One of our specialties is in providing IT consulting services to small businesses that do not have the capability to have full time tech staff. We can assist you in setting up your network, computers, websites, as well as short term and long term planning. Our goal is to help you get the most out of whatever technology you use. It is our opinion that business decisions should drive technology decisions, and your needs are always utmost on our minds.
Asterisk & Voice over IP (VoIP)
Mike has extensive experience with Asterisk, an open-source VoIP systems, and attended Asterisk training in New Jersey in 2006. He has set up several VoIP business systems, and for a reasonable rate we can even set up a VoIP home system (we have one!). Asterisk is a powerful FREE product. Read more about Asterisk.
Documents and Templates
Melissa's favorite task at her day job is creating and managing her custom Access databases, Word templates, and Excel spreadsheets. If your business needs some new custom letterhead, spreadsheet, database, or what-have-you then contact Melissa for more information.
Training
Have you ever sat down to the computer and just though "Gosh, how do I do XYZ?" We offer training services in addition to computer repair. We will sit down with you and answer your how-to or why questions.
One-on-one (or -two) training is offered to one or two people. Group Training is offered to groups of three or more people. (Yes, kids count as people.)
Training sessions are designed in one of two fashions: topic-structured or Q&A style. A topic-structured training session is an hour devoted to a specific topic (e.g. Microsoft Excel) and has a pre-written outline and a how-to handout for you to keep and follow along with. A Q&A Style training session typically covered a few questions per topic on a wide range of areas for an hour; for example, you may want to know how to do one or two things in the Control Panel, three Internet-related questions, a question about buying new software, and fifteen minutes of guidance on Microsoft Word features.
Our training is not graded or accredited with any institution.
Cabling
If you have a small cabling job, either residential or business, Mike has experience running coax, phone line, and Cat5 & Cat6 network cables. If your office's in-house network team needs another pair of hands to finish a cabling job, or if you'd like a network cable run between the floors of your house, give us a call!
Other/Etc.
Many times our clients need IT assistance with things that are not listed here. Putting up an exhaustive list of everything we can do is time consuming and quickly out of date. If you require help, and you do not see it listed here specifically, please ask us. In most cases we are able to provide assistance, and in the case where we cannot, we will usually be able to put you in contact with someone who can.
